These are the first recordings of the withered, gleaming serie. Improvisations with feedback and realtime loops. Music recorded live in studio on may 3rd 2006 (track 2) and may 6th 2006 (tracks 1 & 3), about a month after having seen Haino Keiji live for the first time. The loop process is very influenced by this experience. Funny coincidence, the first one was recorded on Haino's birthday.

Here are a few tracks that have different mixes or different lines from the final versions. The first and the last tracks won't even be on the album, or will be much shorter. Tracks 4 and 5 are two different arrangements on the same drum & bass recording by MooL (track 4 is very close to the final version, it is what Kondo Toshinori worked on -his lines are not heard here- and track 5 is a very guitar-oriented version, influenced by Buckethead's playing).

Greetings to everyone, I wish you a happy new year!

Hi everyone. The planned release date of the first two earnyourears CDs is getting very close... january 30th (a week later than previously announced). You'll see a PayPal button in the "buy" section of the site when they are available.
A funny thing happened to the cover of COMPROVISE(d) II - wander waver water and wind. It was planned to come out in colors, and the result is in black and white. It was my mistake... and the pressing factory's mistake too. Anyway, the result in unexpectedly beautiful. There will be a picture in the "buy" section, of course.
It was just some more [nice] improvisation in the final steps of this COMPROVISE(d) II album...
There could still be some improvisation, as I haven't seen the CD prints yet.

  • The COMPROVISE(d) I album that was planned for an early 2007 release is not finished. More guests may contribute, and everything will be mixed again.
  • The withered, gleaming - second step album that was also planned for 2007 will be available later than expected. It may be released in different formats, including a free downloadable version.
  • Another webcam video clip had been added to youtube in august. It's a cover of Django Reinhardt's Minor Swing, on electric guitar, with a DD-20 for recording the rhythm guitar in real time.
